I should have gotten rid of allot of my old HVAC tools long ago, but I did'nt. Some of them are treasures that can still be used, but this one has used up it's useful life. Anyone know what it is? Take a couple of guesses, then I will tell you if need be.

OK, I got a few viewers, but no guessers. It Is a "break in kit", (without the box it came in of course). This was used to tap old hermetic compressors for serviceing. it was replaced by the process tube, and if you were lucky shrader valves. the last time I used it was over 35 years ago.

The Idea is to screw on the correct size, and threaded adapter to the stub on the compressor, as shown on the left. Then to push in on the stem, grab the sealing screw, and trun it out, until the system psi is opened to your gages. after you have completed your work, you front seat the sealing screw. Want to buy it? LoL !
