Everyone will usually have a differing opinion regarding HVAC blogs and forums. I can attest to the fact that I enjoy HVACmarket.com Blog (http://hvacmarket.com/cgi/wp). The company I work for is a contributor there...there is a lot of great information at hvac-talk....there is just so many sites now a days that you simply have to try some out. Some you will like, others you won't.
One thing I like about this forum is that it is pretty free flowing...not overly controling.
I enjoy a more marketing based HVAC blog called SocialTract. They are a marketing company who deals primarily with HVAC and construction industries. The content is extremely relevant to online marketing in the HVAC field.
If you are looking to blog you don't necessarily have to be on an HVAC blogging site. This site you actually can blog on now as long as you have 20 post. I myself use blogger to blog about HVAC related materials. If you are going to go this route I suggest you link it to whatever you can, website, social media sites, and even sites like this are good to increase your traffic. With blogger you can your page visits. For even more detailed tracking use Google Analytics this is a great tool to track not only your blogger but also your webpage and more. Komfort Heating's Blog
