Whoever did tune up and install thermostat is just one big hack. Where are you people find such idiots
)) Don’t tell me he was cheapest on the block
)
Turn power off at the furnace. At the thermostat take blue wire and move from B ( stands for BROWN not Blue) to G (green) Your blue wire is green now.
Go to furnace and put blue on G screw. Green wire no more in use. Just be spare if you ever buy thermostat with C terminal (c common) . Now wire that goes to outside to condenser needs 2 wires one put to yellow and yellow screw will have 2 wires on it . One from outside and one yellow wire from thermostat. Another wire from outside put on c screw (common) . If it’s more than 2 wires coming from outside then go outside and remove cover and see what color those 2 wires that connects outside unit. Then go inside and use those two wires one on yellow screw and one on c. Does not matter color of wires and no polarity so just use two of them .
easy peasy first graders can do it. To hard for handyidiots
