Hello everyone.. we are at the tail end of a project and having an issue with new rtu float switches. The hvac inspection failed due float switches not fitting into the gap provided to the pan. So the vendor installed an external float switch. Well the inspector failed and the building official said we need the float switch that goes into the pan. The vendor contacted multiple suppliers and also carrier directly. The warehouses don’t have any. The building official suggested “Aqua guard AG-310E”, but we cant find this anywhere.
The carrier sales rep replied back..
ICP (international Comfort Products, owner of Carrier, Bryant, etc 30+/- brands) confirmed that they no longer manufacture the float switch and currently do not have a superseding float switch.
These are the models
Anyone have any suggestion on how I can get a thin float switch to fit into the gap? This one was suggested to us but we cant find it anywhere.. “Aqua guard AG-310E”
Thank you in advance for any assistance
