Met with the Beckett Rep on this product last Thursday at a NAOSHM meeting. Very impressive oil burner primary control. Priced about the same as Honneywell with ten times the features. Should make troubleshooting a breeze as the control logs the last 20 burner cycles including cad cell ohm readings. voltage during run, cycle times for post and pre purge (and its adjustable) Amazing technology.

The Beckett GeniSys™ Advanced Burner Control is a 120 Vac primary safety control for residential and light commercial oil burners used in boiler, furnace, and water heater applications. The GeniSys™ is used with a suitable cad cell flame sensor to control the oil burner motor, igniter and optional solenoid valve. It has 24 Vac thermostat inputs compatible with both on/off and power stealing thermostats. It can provide interrupted or intermittent duty ignition, and has a 15-second lockout time.

How many people are still using oil to heat their homes?

I thought oil went out just after coal furnaces. They actually has oil burning furnaces in homes in Los Angeles. I go under several homes and there are pieces of the furnaces, but I never saw a pipe that carried the oil, nor an oil storage tank.
