Question

compressor or RV

I am working on a york HP 2 stage unit and the second stage compressor seems to have bad valves. The owner said he had another company out that said the valves were bad but never called him back?? When running my suction is around 110 and discharge around 200. I dont want to condemn the compressor until i am sure its not the RV. I have no way to pumpdown this compressor to check the valves. I am going back today to determine if it is the compressor valves or RV. I did not have much time yesterday, but will have more today to diagnose. Without a way to do a pumpdown on the compressor and check the valves, is the only other alternative in checking the RV is to check the temp diff. entering and leaving lines on the RV?
