Rinnai air handler code issue

I am trying to install a Rinnai air handler system, tied to a Rinnai demand water heater. The Maine state plumbing board is denying this system because of the supposed comingling of DHW and boiler water. I understand this is an issue in Mass. as well.

Does anyone have a work around idea without installing a secondary heqt exchanger?

Thanks in advance,

Icarus

Re: Rinnai air handler code issue

A water to air heat exchanger is a device that is used for a variety of heating and cooling applications. The device can fit into your existing hot air furnace's plenum. Install a water to air heat exchanger by placing it below your evaporator coil, cutting a hole into your ductwork the size of your unit and using tape and metal braces to secure your unit.
