My posts were not attacking anyone, they were defending my previous post where you made the comment that I base my pricing from a restraunt and some other ridiculous ideas. I have only been on these posts recently when I found myself not able to be invloved with the day to day as much as normal. I have learned a lot from this and the other site and enjoy it for the most part, but a lot of people out there are a lot more interested in starting crep than actually sharing some knowledge or helping someone understand their mistakes. Hell, this all got started when someone asked what we use for a markup price, and I said I used a 40% margin. Then BT came back and asked margin or mark up. etc.. then you bashed me and said I was stupid or something.

Not at all, I am just in a position to know when the juice aint wrth the sqeeze and no matter what I say the other person will intreprit what has been said based on their own mindset and situation. I would in no way infer someone in this trade was stupid. If I thought you were stupid I would say, " You are Stupid".tell you straight out, I pull no punches. Absolute straight to the point here and thats why I have had so many referrals and repeat customers over the years. No I dont believe you are stupid, a little brash maby but we all grow based on our experiences and you will to.

Surenuff, humor the 64 year old guy. Crotchety comes with aging.

Just have a little thicker skin. The barbs you caught were too small to crab about.

Save 'em for when somebody insults your integrity or family. Pick your fights, don't go on the offensive every time some body cuts you a little.

I belong to one site where you'd think everybody was enemies when you read the posts. But it's guys just bustin' chops for fun.

Re: marking up parts

I am learning. I talked to BeenThere about this awile back. I signed up for hvac-talk in 2007, but only recently started posting. I am not use to people talking to me that way. I don't allow it in "real life" and have had a hard time getting use to it. But I am getting better.

It's OLD GUY BANTER. Mostly we are all empty nesters, divorced, single old farts who beat up on each other for fun cause we got nothing else to do.
Except for Beenthere, he goes around to all the hvac site and submits resumes for moderator jobs.

I understand he now has ten monitors to watch with four other moderator kobs pending.

WAY TO GO BEEN!!!

And does it make you think a bit harder about how you are doing things in your business?
