I made the trip from Cincinnati to Memphis for the Liberty Bowl with the family. We had a blast! Spent NYE on Beale St. for a while.....

Heck no, nothing. This road.house sat in the house and watched as a younger late teenage girl got ticketed by the police for firing off fire works in a residential area, on the street in front of my home.

A neighbor called the police.

Re: Who will stay home for New Years ?

Work isn't going too bad. I've got a lot of prospects for the spring, and RTU replacements seem to be rolling in pretty well this month.

Are you still in school? If so, how's that going for you?

I should partially elaborate on my previous post. I have 2 family members battling cancer (Dad with brain cancer, 2 years cancer free and sister just began her battle with breast cancer) and that just seemed to put a lot of stuff into perspective for me. Fight the fights that need fighting, fight to win. All the other stuff is just minutia. With the recent cancer diagnoses in the family, I worry a bit about my own health and if it will affect me at some point in my life. I don't want to leave my kids without a father or my wife without a husband.

Re: Who will stay home for New Years ?

I've finished school, thanks. Received my certifications and went over to the service/sales side of the trade finally. I so far am not doing good on actual equipment sales but I'm working on it, I'll get it.

As for your family I'm terribly sorry to hear it, bud. Those kinds of mountains in your life can definitely put things in perspective. The past is the past and no need to dwell on it or the little things, I'm with you there for sure. Concentrate on what really matters.

I can only imagine how difficult this time would be for you and yours. You certainly have all my best, yourself and your family.

Re: Who will stay home for New Years ?

I appreciate your positive thoughts. It's definitely been an interesting ride over the past two years.

Glad to see you got through school and went the sales route. With more experience, the sales will become easier. The technical background you have will give you more confidence. Never stop learning. I always get a rush when my customer says "yes". I feel that I am doing them a service in energy management as well as capital management when I am designing a system replacement for them. Got one in the works right now for a small office where we are getting rid of four older Carrier 80% furnaces/10 SEER A/C's and installing Carrier Infinity 2 stage 90%+ furnaces with 15 SEER heat pumps for the dual fuel application. Vision Pro 8000 Commercial thermostats for controls. Total of 10 tons refrigeration and 400K Btu heating.

Keep working at it.........you'll do fine.
