bad day

went on a roof to install a 6 "chimney liner for a home owner. get about 20 ft down to where it wont go no farther. after numerus attemps and looking up from inside with mirror. 6 inch will not fit in the 7x1/2 x 7x1/2 tile. After removing the liner i noticed that they gave me the wrong liner.I paid for a liner for oil but they gave me for gas. chimney work blows.
a 5" is not big enough for both oil units But I may install a relay so only 1 unit operates at a time. time for a brusky

Re: bad day

I dont think you are allowed to do that. I belive the liner needs to be sized to handel all appliances in the chimney. If someone in the future removes the relay or replaces one of the units and disconects the relay not knowing why it was done it could come back to haunt you.

Re: bad day

Yeah that just sounds like a bad idea all the way around. I like to sleep peacefully at nights and never worry about lawsuits.
