Default Any zipper club members here?

Had quadrupal bypass surgery done on December 2nd. Anyone else have heart surgery done?

I have never had something take so long to heal. Numb chest and muscle pain are still there. This is making a real mess of my golf game.

Robbin Wiliams calls it the zipper club as he is a member now.

I haven't had heart surgery yet but I have had numerous other surgeries. I think you may be pushing things a little fast if it has only been since Dec that you had the procedure. I had spinal surgery and several nerve surgeries since 2003, some places are still completely numb. They say nerves only grow 1 millimeter a month. So give it time. I know each day is special after surviving but take them a little slower and you may end up having more of them.

I guess that I have just thought of myself as a fast healer. Not bitching, I am happy to be alive, but this seems to be taking a long time. The doc's say I should be healed from 6 months to never. Never is a long time.

At least I am here for the grandkids. Thats the most important thing. The business has taken quite a hit though. Hope I can get it back on track.

A word of advice to everyone. Make sure there is someone in your company that knows what is going on. I was in the middle of doing that when this happened and wish I would have started it sooner.

Blood thinners like Kumoden and other things they may have given you will change your internal chemistry including your healing processes. I had
reactions to the anesthesia that changed my internal thermostat, I was always freezing for months after the surgery and could never seem to get warm. I am glad to have survived my accident and it has changed my attitude in many ways.

Thanks to the efforts of John's Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, I got to avoid the zipper. I do however have the most stents, 8 of em, I have heard of from persons having a heart attack.

I thought this thread was going to be about catching something in a zipper (now that, I have done)

I had 6 stents before my by-pass sugery. 8 is alot. Most Dr's don't like putting that many in from what I hear. I thought that was what I was going to get but they said I needed the sugery this time.

I am also a member of the other zipper club you mentioned. Been awhile though...............
