Flashback Arresters
I’ve been looking at a lot of pictures of the oxy/ace torch kits on the web lately that guys are carrying and it’s surprising to see how many don’t have any flashback arresters on their torch handle. Don’t they teach this stuff in HVACR School?
So, I guess the question is, do you have these on your torch or is this something you don’t concern yourself with.

Re: Flashback Arresters
Some torches have buit-in flashback arrestors.....
Cheaper uniweld type probably don't. I've always used uniweld and try to use them with safety in mind and keep them clean etc. |

Re: Flashback Arresters
I know the Victor Turbo Torch/Fire Power have them internally, but not sure about UniWeld.
The external arrestors on my torch do add a couple of inches length to the torch handle, so I’m guessing that’s probably why a lot of guys don’t like to use them.
